Retreat Title: Uncontrived Mindfulness - touching awareness and insight
Led by Led by Vajradevi
The human mind is powerful, quick and extremely sensitive. Unguarded, it can take us to heaven or hell in a moment. However, like the natural world around us, it has an underlying pattern and regularity that means we can learn to recognise and understand how it works.
Using the qualities of mindfulness and right view as guides to the inner universe of the mind and heart, we can develop ways of exploring familiar terrain and opening to unimagined realms, as a basis for the arising of insight into the nature of all things.
This retreat is particularly suitable for those who are familiar with the Buddha’s teachings on mindfulness and the Satipatthana Sutta.
There will be teaching, guided meditations and group practice reviews with optional individual practice reviews. At times the programme will be unstructured, to allow participants to find their own rhythm of practice.
