Retreat Title: The Dynamic Mandala - ONLINE retreat

Led by Tejananda

Dharma practice is transformative. This transformation lies in gradually discovering how both we and the world are not at all what we originally supposed. As a consequence, we begin to uproot the causes of dukkha. As Dharma practice deepens, the practices themselves are transformed. Indeed, unless this is happening, we can get stuck.

This approach to meditation within our system of practice in Triratna assumes a good deal of familiarity with the core meditation practices taught at Triratna centres. On this basis, we'll explore how the underlying principles can be approached in a dynamic way, as a progressive integration of body awareness, heart qualities and penetrating insight.

We will take a mainly somatic approach to this ‘dynamic mandala’ of the principles of practice - that is, one based in the living energy of our body and being. By attuning to the subtle energy of the body, we’ll discover ways to ‘integrate’ all five principles experientially into a single, effortless, embodied ’non–practice’ - simply being.

The session times will be (UK time):

09.30 - 11.30 - interactive session with led meditations

16.30 - 17.15 - Open meditation with bells, no input

20.00 - 21.00 - Some input or discussion and a led meditation
