Shuddhakirti

I have been meditating and practicing the Dharma regularly for over 18 years and regularly coming to Vajraloka for over 14 years, many of the retreats having been milestones in my spiritual life. I am also a member of The Western Buddhist Order, ordained for 6 years.

The last 2 years I have been 'full time' at Vajraloka deepening my own meditation practice and 'training up' as a meditation teacher.

My main practice is Sadhana visualization and reflection supported by mindfulness of the breath, metta bhavana and just sitting. Regular solitary is also important to me.

I feel very fortunate to have discovered the Dharma and meditation and can say that it has completely changed my life for the best, but it would not have been possible without the tremendous help, inspiration and guidance from my teachers and friends.

Meditation is not always easy, but that is the nature of the spiritual life or just life even. But having gone through the struggles (and they continue), at this point in time, I feel a strong desire to help others with their practice in whatever way I can.

I feel fortunate to be living in a community where friendships are developing and deepening and becoming progressively more harmonious.

I also do the maintenance and am presently doing the gardening, which I enjoy.
